I have been watching this player, and know that he likes to bet and raise with nothing. On the flop I bet smaller into him hoping he would raise me with rags, or actually have a pair of Kings and raise me.  WIth a good player I would Re raise right here and put him to a decision on the flop. Seen as how I think this player might have air I called the flop and checked to him on the turn hoping for another bet. Thankfully I got my wish. The ace on the river was just pure luck on my part wich made the Villian think he had the best hand and he called my Push !! BOOYEAH !!

One outer for me , hehe. I feel I played this hand well!  The villian in this pot made a horrible turn call so I feel that I got even just fine. The basic rule of poker is that tight players never bluff, and he should have folded the turn. What more can I say. It was lucky for him, but even luckier for me on the river, lol !!

I tried to get tricky on this river. I thougth for sure that the Villian had a draw, and would not call a bet on the river. I was trying to induce a bluff from him and it backfired. Only thing I can do is note him and play him differently next time.

The basic rule of poker is to only draw when you have odds to do so. On this flop I called 6 dollars purely on a draw but I felt strongly that any club would give me the best hand, or one any one of the kings would be the nuts of course. To the river I am almost a favourite to hit my hand but of course if someone has a set or 2 pair and the board pairs I may hit and lose to a bigger hand. I actually considered raising big on this flop but I wanted the Villian 1 to come along for the ride. Once the turn card gave me the flush I knew that I had the best hand, and was perfectly willing to pay off the King High flush if that be the case. But I would NEVER slow play here.Villian 2 did not follow the basic rule of poker once I bet, and this type of play will win me alot of money over time. He had lots of information to put me on a flush. First of all there was 4 people to see that flop. 2nd , I am a very tight player, and would only bet a flush on that board. 3rd, and probably most important, Villian 3 was all in here, and good players learn fast to NEVER BLUFF A DEAD POT!! Anyway he called of course, and once the river paired the board I absolutely knew that I was beat. Unlike this player I made the right fold :)

The basic rule of poker is When I get Pocket AA pre flop I almost always Re Raise, and Re raise big. The reason i do not re raise small is I do not want to give odds to land a set or a bigger hand and then try and play at me for my entire stack. The way i see it is that the more money I put in pre flop the less margin the other players have for profiting from me by calling with there marginal hands.
This was a big flop for me. Now most people who flop a Set of AAA in this situation will slow play the hand. NOt me. I like to think outside of the box. If I check to him on this flop he might very well put me on a set of AAA. after all, I Re raised him pre flop and that definately lets him put me on this hand.  Opponnents learn that I will bet this board with KK, QQ, 10 10 , or whatever hand I have re raised him with. I want him to think “if he had AAA would he really bet into me, and normally the answer will be NO. because NOBODY else bets a monster like this. People make moves on me here all the time.!! they think I have KK or QQ and just want to buy so they make some freakish Re raise to steal from me.

I am the Hero in this pot. I play villian2 alot and have a good read on this player. I know that he is capable of betting on the flop with a couple of over cards (AK) or maybe a smaller pair And will not want to get involved with my raise on the flop . Unfortunately I read the hand wrong and he re raised me all in on the flop. At this point I have to consider what he might have. Not only do I have the nut flush draw, but I have possibly 2 over cards if he is holding 1010 or JJ . If he has KK I am still almost a coin flip to win. I call and pray that he does not have AA and only leave me at 32 percent to win. WOOT for the river !!

The reason I posted this hand today was to provide an example of how to fast play a set rather than slow play. I forced my opponent to play his hand correctly in most cases (to raise and represent a strong hand on the flop).  I am perfectly willing to bet into the player on the flop and have him fold. After all, he could very well have a draw himself and I do not want to give him the chance to draw. If I had check raised this flop I might have very well gave away my hand.
